{"data":{"id":"us-vt/8-v.s.a.-4474","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"8 V.S.A. § 4474","heading":"Benefits","body":"(a) A society authorized to do business in this State may provide for the payment of:\n(1) death benefits in any form;\n(2) endowment benefits;\n(3) annuity benefits;\n(4) temporary or permanent disability benefits as a result of disease or accident;\n(5) hospital, medical, or nursing benefits due to sickness or bodily infirmity or accident;\n(6) monument or tombstone benefits to the memory of deceased members not exceeding in any case the sum of $300.00; and\n(b) Such benefits may be provided on the lives of members or upon application of a member, on the lives of the member’s family, including the member, the member’s spouse and minor children, in the same or separate certificates.","path":["Title 8: Banking and Insurance","Chapter 121: Fraternal Benefit Societies"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/08/121/04474","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T13:48:51Z","sha256":"10bbfa9cc03f42f8dd10523c157494e2a480bf7b7a694309d29b934aabeaa444","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/8-v.s.a.-4473","next":"us-vt/8-v.s.a.-4475"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
