{"data":{"id":"us-vt/9-v.s.a.-4190","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"9 V.S.A. § 4190","heading":"Interfering with Internet ticket sales","body":"(a) A person shall not intentionally use a computer program or other software intended to interfere with or circumvent, on a ticket seller’s website, an equitable ticket buying process established by the seller for tickets of admission to a sporting event, theatre, musical performance, or place of public entertainment or amusement of any kind.\n(b) A person who violates this section, in a civil action brought by the seller, shall be subject to:\n(1) appropriate equitable relief;\n(2) reasonable attorney’s fees and costs;\n(3) actual damages suffered; and\n(4) statutory damages of up to $1,500.00 per ticket, payable to the seller.","path":["Title 9: Commerce and Trade","Chapter 117: Internet Commerce"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/09/117/04190","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T14:44:20Z","sha256":"0da23d9e59efc260294aed6b1807615e8c143e19d3e5a0bbeb06e712502724a8","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/9-v.s.a.-4185-4189a","next":"us-vt/9-v.s.a.-4191"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
