{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-1.60.060","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 1.60.060","heading":"Appearance of medal and certificate.","body":"(1) The decoration of the state medal of valor shall be of .999 pure silver and shall consist of the seal of the state of Washington, surrounded by a raised laurel wreath and suspended from a silver bar device inscribed \"For Valor\" which is suspended from a ring attached by a dark green ribbon, bordered by silver. The reverse of the decoration within the raised laurel wreath shall be inscribed with the recipient's name and the words: \"For exceptionally valorous service, given in the act of saving the life of another.\"\n(2) The certificate accompanying the medal will prominently display: (a) The title, \"Washington State Medal of Valor\"; (b) the recipient's name; and (c) the phrase, \"For exceptionally valorous service, given in the act of saving the life of another.\" A seven-line citation will also be included on the certificate.","path":["Title 1","Chapter 1.60"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=1.60.060","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T00:24:19Z","sha256":"1b4d1f186bb277f109b38bcb3f673f932c343f8785a04e08c455eead78d59a2b","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-1.60.050","next":"us-wa/rcw-1.70.010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
