{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-11.120.090","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 11.120.090","heading":"Disclosure of content of electronic communications of principal.","body":"To the extent a power of attorney expressly grants an agent authority over the content of electronic communications sent or received by the principal and unless directed otherwise by the principal or the court, a custodian shall disclose to the agent the content if the agent gives the custodian:\n(1) A written request for disclosure in physical or electronic form;\n(2) An original or copy of the power of attorney expressly granting the agent authority over the content of electronic communications of the principal;\n(3) A certification by the agent, under penalty of perjury, that the power of attorney is in effect; and\n(4) If requested by the custodian:\n(a) A number, user name, address, or other unique subscriber or account identifier assigned by the custodian to identify the principal's account; or\n(b) Evidence linking the account to the principal.","path":["Title 11","Chapter 11.120"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=11.120.090","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:01:02Z","sha256":"a544e905b65e6d3787195e392e32729e72d3f2d15779b747983b94a0ca600e19","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-11.120.080","next":"us-wa/rcw-11.120.100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
