{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-11.125.030","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 11.125.030","heading":"Application—Exceptions.","body":"(1) This chapter applies to all powers of attorney except:\n(a) A power to the extent it is coupled with an interest in the subject of the power, including a power given to or for the benefit of a creditor in connection with a credit transaction;\n(b) A proxy or other delegation to exercise voting rights or management rights with respect to an entity; and\n(c) A power created on a form prescribed by a government or governmental subdivision, agency, or instrumentality for a governmental purpose.\n(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1) of this section, RCW 11.125.170 shall not apply to a power to make health care decisions under RCW 11.125.400 and 11.125.410, nor shall it apply to the power to nominate a guardian for a minor child under RCW 11.125.410.","path":["Title 11","Chapter 11.125"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=11.125.030","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:01:08Z","sha256":"40c6523334a487fe04c6f73cf652d5c45bb197591d1541a2527f5393b686cb50","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-11.125.020","next":"us-wa/rcw-11.125.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
