{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-15.36.473","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 15.36.473","heading":"Failure to comply with chapter or rules—Criminal penalties.","body":"(1) It is unlawful for any person to sell raw milk from a dairy farm that is not licensed as a milk producer or a milk processing plant under this chapter.\n(2) The sale of raw milk from a dairy farm that is not licensed as a milk producer and a milk processing plant under this chapter constitutes:\n(a) For the first offense, a misdemeanor; and\n(b) For the second and subsequent offenses, a gross misdemeanor punishable according to chapter 9A.20 RCW.\n(3) Neither the issuance of a cease and desist order nor payment of a civil penalty relieves the person so selling raw milk from criminal prosecution, but the remedy of a cease and desist order or civil penalty is in addition to any criminal liability.","path":["Title 15","Chapter 15.36"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=15.36.473","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:06:36Z","sha256":"f25468bf832051ff5f2eb53b3a620dfb4458ff756ba8e375e884fc4450d022ab","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-15.36.455","next":"us-wa/rcw-15.36.475"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
