{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-18.104.030","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 18.104.030","heading":"Compliance enjoined.","body":"It is unlawful:\n(1) For any person to supervise, construct, alter, or decommission a well without complying with the provisions of this chapter and the rules for well construction adopted pursuant to this chapter;\n(2) For any person to cause a well to be constructed in violation of the standards for well construction established by this chapter and rules adopted by the department pursuant to this chapter;\n(3) For a prospective water well owner to have a water well constructed without first obtaining a water right permit, if a permit is required;\n(4) For any person to construct, alter, or decommission a well unless the fees required by RCW 18.104.055 have been paid;\n(5) For a person to tamper with or remove a well identification tag except during well alteration; and\n(6) Except as provided in RCW 18.104.180, for any person to contract to engage in the construction of a well or to act as a well operator without first obtaining a license pursuant to this chapter.","path":["Title 18","Chapter 18.104"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=18.104.030","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:20:08Z","sha256":"4dd0995b4fc03e2d17c98a641f4ec974938cfe1f576dd046c45b43088961b52d","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-18.104.020","next":"us-wa/rcw-18.104.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
