{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-18.108.125","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 18.108.125","heading":"Inactive credential—Reinstatement.","body":"(1) The secretary must grant a massage therapist an inactive credential if the massage therapist submits a letter to the board stating his or her intent to obtain an inactive credential, and he or she:\n(a) Holds an active Washington state massage therapist's license;\n(b) Is in good standing, as determined by the board; and\n(c) Does not practice massage in the state of Washington.\n(2) The secretary may reinstate the massage therapist's license if the massage therapist:\n(a) Pays the current active renewal fee and other fees for active licensure;\n(b) Provides a written declaration that:\n(i) No action has been taken by a state or federal jurisdiction or a hospital which would prevent or restrict the therapist's practice of massage therapy;\n(ii) He or she has not voluntarily given up any credential or privilege or been restricted in the practice of massage therapy to avoid other sanctions; and\n(iii) He or she has satisfied continuing education and competency requirements for the two most recent years; and\n(c) Meets other requirements for reinstatement, as may be determined by the board.","path":["Title 18","Chapter 18.108"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=18.108.125","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:20:19Z","sha256":"b8c0a4b4cac27f6a9e44b4770ba17a3c5061e2f9d75195d1c9454e6a5a5ba306","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-18.108.115","next":"us-wa/rcw-18.108.131"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
