{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-18.280.140","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 18.280.140","heading":"Civil infractions.","body":"The department has the authority to issue civil infractions under chapter 7.80 RCW in the following instances:\n(1) Conducting or offering to conduct a home inspection without being licensed in accordance with this chapter;\n(2) Presenting or attempting to use as his or her own the home inspector license of another;\n(3) Giving any false or forged evidence of any kind to the director or his or her authorized representative in obtaining a license;\n(4) Falsely impersonating any other licensee; or\n(5) Attempting to use an expired or revoked license.\nAll fines and penalties collected or assessed by a court because of a violation of this section must be remitted to the department to be deposited into the business and professions account created in RCW 43.24.150.","path":["Title 18","Chapter 18.280"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=18.280.140","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:23:23Z","sha256":"013363304840d1297c9906bbd90c68040fec2b00fa3f7d214ed86a4c57fb4190","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-18.280.130","next":"us-wa/rcw-18.280.150"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
