{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-18.321.040","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 18.321.040","heading":"Issuance of a multistate license.","body":"(1) Upon receipt of an application for a multistate license, the home state licensing authority shall determine the applicant's eligibility for a multistate license in accordance with RCW 18.321.030.\n(2) If such applicant is eligible pursuant to RCW 18.321.030, the home state licensing authority shall issue a multistate license that authorizes the applicant or regulated social worker to practice in all member states under a multistate authorization to practice.\n(3) Upon issuance of a multistate license, the home state licensing authority shall designate whether the regulated social worker holds a multistate license in the bachelor's, master's, or clinical category of social work.\n(4) A multistate license issued by a home state to a resident in that state shall be recognized by all compact member states as authorizing social work practice under a multistate authorization to practice corresponding to each category of licensure regulated in each member state.","path":["Title 18","Chapter 18.321"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=18.321.040","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:23:50Z","sha256":"75ab594029970425aebd0bd6ba7175f36bcd2e8eb9329173b43b732aba75f242","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-18.321.030","next":"us-wa/rcw-18.321.050"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
