{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-18.52.061","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 18.52.061","heading":"Board—Authority.","body":"In addition to any authority provided by law, the board shall have the following authority:\n(1) To adopt rules in accordance with chapter 34.05 RCW necessary to implement this chapter;\n(2) To prepare and administer or approve the preparation and administration of examinations for licensure;\n(3) To conduct a hearing on an appeal of a denial of license based on the applicant's failure to meet the minimum qualifications for licensure. The hearing shall be conducted pursuant to chapter 34.05 RCW;\n(4) To establish by rule the procedures for an appeal of an examination failure;\n(5) To adopt rules implementing a continuing competency program;\n(6) To issue subpoenas, statements of charges, statements of intent to deny licenses, and orders, and to delegate in writing to a designee to issue subpoenas; and\n(7) To issue temporary license permits under circumstances defined by the board.","path":["Title 18","Chapter 18.52"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=18.52.061","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:17:19Z","sha256":"5a280d924f6c11bec3536f969f531c32e85ae8b9931879df4d0fb78cdc9de787","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-18.52.050","next":"us-wa/rcw-18.52.066"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
