{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-18.64a.010","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 18.64A.010","heading":"Definitions.","body":"Terms used in this chapter shall have the meaning set forth in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:\n(1) \"Commission\" means the pharmacy quality assurance commission;\n(2) \"Department\" means the department of health;\n(3) \"Pharmacist\" means a person duly licensed by the commission to engage in the practice of pharmacy;\n(4) \"Pharmacy\" means every place properly licensed by the commission where the practice of pharmacy is conducted;\n(5) \"Pharmacy ancillary personnel\" means pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants;\n(6) \"Pharmacy technician\" means:\n(a) A person who is enrolled in, or who has satisfactorily completed, a commission-approved training program designed to prepare persons to perform nondiscretionary functions associated with the practice of pharmacy; or\n(b) A person who is a graduate with a degree in pharmacy or medicine of a foreign school, university, or college recognized by the commission;\n(7) \"Pharmacy assistant\" means a person registered by the commission to perform limited functions in the pharmacy;\n(8) \"Practice of pharmacy\" means the definition given in RCW 18.64.011;\n(9) \"Secretary\" means the secretary of health or the secretary's designee.","path":["Title 18","Chapter 18.64A"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=18.64A.010","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:18:08Z","sha256":"ad7cca68671c5cb6958a64e1407c7dfe2dce725dd57e54c006407f74085e788d","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-18.64.920","next":"us-wa/rcw-18.64a.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
