{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-18.71b.070","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 18.71B.070","heading":"Renewal and continued participation.","body":"(1) A physician seeking to renew an expedited license granted in a member state shall complete a renewal process with the interstate commission if the physician:\n(a) Maintains a full and unrestricted license in a state of principal license;\n(b) Has not been convicted, received adjudication, deferred adjudication, community supervision, or deferred disposition for any offense by a court of appropriate jurisdiction;\n(c) Has not had a license authorizing the practice of medicine subject to discipline by a licensing agency in any state, federal, or foreign jurisdiction, excluding any action related to nonpayment of fees related to a license; and\n(d) Has not had a controlled substance license or permit suspended or revoked by a state or the United States drug enforcement administration.\n(2) Physicians shall comply with all continuing professional development or continuing medical education requirements for renewal of a license issued by a member state.\n(3) The interstate commission shall collect any renewal fees charged for the renewal of a license and distribute the fees to the applicable member board.\n(4) Upon receipt of any renewal fees collected in subsection (3) of this section, a member board shall renew the physician's license.\n(5) Physician information collected by the interstate commission during the renewal process with [will] be distributed to all member boards.\n(6) The interstate commission is authorized to develop rules to address renewal of licenses obtained through the compact.","path":["Title 18","Chapter 18.71B"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=18.71B.070","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:18:25Z","sha256":"6c50810874fdaf82704168267b41e577fa5a36d571530c29ba772ce262fdb773","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-18.71b.060","next":"us-wa/rcw-18.71b.080"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
