{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-18.76.020","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 18.76.020","heading":"Definitions.","body":"Unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the definitions in this section apply throughout this chapter:\n(1) \"Department\" means the department of health.\n(2) \"Poison information center medical director\" means a person who: (a) Is licensed to practice medicine and surgery under chapter 18.71 RCW or osteopathic medicine and surgery under chapter 18.57 RCW; (b) is certified by the secretary under standards adopted under RCW 18.76.050; and (c) provides services enumerated under RCW 18.76.030, and is responsible for supervision of poison information specialists.\n(3) \"Poison information specialist\" means a person who provides services enumerated under RCW 18.76.030 under the supervision of a poison information center medical director and is certified by the secretary under standards adopted under RCW 18.76.050.\n(4) \"Secretary\" means the secretary of health.","path":["Title 18","Chapter 18.76"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=18.76.020","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:18:52Z","sha256":"e64241a7e161836b713d2fb4b4646c27cfdd38ac1c109e2154e89fde6d9ed378","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-18.76.010","next":"us-wa/rcw-18.76.030"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
