{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-19.260.030","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 19.260.030","heading":"Application of chapter.","body":"(1) This chapter applies to the following types of new products sold, offered for sale, or installed in the state:\n(a) Hot water dispensers and mini-tank electric water heaters;\n(b) Bottle-type water dispensers and point-of-use water dispensers;\n(c) Portable electric spas;\n(d) Tub spout diverters;\n(e) Commercial hot food holding cabinets;\n(f) Air compressors;\n(g) Commercial fryers, commercial dishwashers, and commercial steam cookers;\n(h) Computers and computer monitors;\n(i) Faucets;\n(j) High CRI fluorescent lamps;\n(k) Portable air conditioners;\n(l) Residential ventilating fans;\n(m) Showerheads;\n(n) Spray sprinkler bodies;\n(o) Urinals and water closets;\n(p) Water coolers;\n(q) General service lamps;\n(r) Electric storage water heaters;\n(s) Air purifiers other than industrial air purifiers;\n(t) Commercial ovens; and\n(u) Electric vehicle supply equipment.\n(2) This chapter applies equally to products whether they are sold, offered for sale, or installed as stand-alone products or as components of other products.\n(3) This chapter does not apply to:\n(a) New products manufactured in the state and sold outside the state;\n(b) New products manufactured outside the state and sold at wholesale inside the state for final retail sale and installation outside the state;\n(c) Products installed in mobile manufactured homes at the time of construction; or\n(d) Products designed expressly for installation and use in recreational vehicles.","path":["Title 19","Chapter 19.260"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=19.260.030","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:32:48Z","sha256":"aad55ed2dd316f44a0d838775b1ad3bbdec79bb18b0f92ac98bf2c742cd13030","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-19.260.020","next":"us-wa/rcw-19.260.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
