{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-19.285.070","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 19.285.070","heading":"Reporting and public disclosure.","body":"(1)(a) On or before June 1, 2012, and biennially thereafter, each qualifying utility shall report to the department on its compliance in meeting the targets established in RCW 19.285.040, including:\n(i) Expected electricity savings from the biennial conservation target;\n(ii) Expenditures that were made on conservation;\n(iii) Actual electricity savings results;\n(iv) The utility's annual load for the prior two years;\n(v) The amount of megawatt-hours that were needed to meet the annual renewable energy target;\n(vi) The amount of megawatt-hours of each type of eligible renewable resource that were acquired;\n(vii) The type and amount of renewable energy credits that were retired; and\n(viii) The percent of its total annual retail revenue requirement that was invested in the incremental cost of eligible renewable resources and the cost of renewable energy credits.\n(b) For each year that a qualifying utility elects to demonstrate alternative compliance under RCW 19.285.040(2) (d) or (i) or 19.285.050(1), it must include in its annual report relevant data to demonstrate that it met the criteria in that section. A qualifying utility may submit its report to the department in conjunction with its annual obligations in chapter 19.29A RCW.\n(2) A qualifying utility that is an investor-owned utility shall also report all information required in subsection (1) of this section to the commission, and all other qualifying utilities shall also make all information required in subsection (1) of this section available to the auditor.\n(3) A qualifying utility shall also make reports required in this section available to its customers.\n(4) A qualifying utility is encouraged to use any savings resulting from the decreased reporting requirements in chapter 137, Laws of 2026 for low-income energy assistance.","path":["Title 19","Chapter 19.285"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=19.285.070","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:33:15Z","sha256":"b939195637adf34612bf51cbdcbc218d974979de86b395e91a5708a2a19f7644","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-19.285.060","next":"us-wa/rcw-19.285.080"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
