{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-23.78.010","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 23.78.010","heading":"Definitions.","body":"For the purposes of this chapter, the terms defined in this section have the meanings given:\n(1) \"Employee cooperative\" means a corporation that has elected to be governed by the provisions of this chapter.\n(2) \"Member\" means a natural person who has been accepted for membership in, and owns a membership share issued by an employee cooperative.\n(3) \"Patronage\" means the amount of work performed as a member of an employee cooperative, measured in accordance with the articles of incorporation and bylaws.\n(4) \"Written notice of allocation\" means a written instrument which discloses to a member the stated dollar amount of the member's patronage allocation, and the terms for payment of that amount by the employee cooperative.","path":["Title 23","Chapter 23.78"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=23.78.010","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:37:26Z","sha256":"1f9f75d3c083c4ab1998f2a94761fd2ec511615ec6b17fe06d2ab4e4b3383013","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-23.100.1503","next":"us-wa/rcw-23.78.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
