{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-26.09.310","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 26.09.310","heading":"Provision of health care to minor—Immunity of health care provider.","body":"No health care provider or facility, or their agent, shall be liable for damages in any civil action brought by a parent or guardian based only on a lack of the parent or guardian's consent for medical care of a minor child, if consent to the care has been given by a parent or guardian of the minor. The immunity provided by this section shall apply regardless of whether:\n(1) The parents are married, unmarried, in a domestic partnership or not, or separated at the time of consent or treatment;\n(2) The consenting parent is, or is not, a custodial parent of the minor;\n(3) The giving of consent by a parent is, or is not, full performance of any agreement between the parents, or of any order or decree in any action entered pursuant to chapter 26.09 RCW;\n(4) The action or suit is brought by or on behalf of the nonconsenting parent, the minor child, or any other person.","path":["Title 26","Chapter 26.09"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=26.09.310","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T00:41:10Z","sha256":"3c630f065a3b1b1b9e712b5c194674cd59c9c5d56a53f3d15d9ee8b86a845962","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-26.09.300","next":"us-wa/rcw-26.09.315"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
