{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-29a.93.040","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 29A.93.040","heading":"Designation of covered jurisdictions—Information provided by attorney general.","body":"(1) No later than July 1st of each even-numbered year, the attorney general shall, in consultation with the office of financial management and other relevant agencies, designate those political subdivisions which qualify as covered jurisdictions pursuant to RCW 29A.93.010 based on the best available data from the United States census bureau, the most recent American community survey, or other data of comparable quality collected by a federal, state, or local agency. The attorney general shall provide written notice to the covered jurisdiction of the designation. A determination made pursuant to this subsection is effective on the date that the written notice is sent.\n(2) The office of the attorney general shall maintain a publicly accessible website containing the following information:\n(a) A list of all covered jurisdictions, to be updated biannually;\n(b) All submissions for a certificate of no objection certifying that the covered policy meets the standard in RCW 29A.93.020, including any supporting documents submitted by the covered entity; and\n(c) The status and disposition of each submission under (b) of this subsection.","path":["Title 29A","Chapter 29A.93"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=29A.93.040","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:59:01Z","sha256":"4a810a0b341061e4733a3e952f4fc027c6664e36ffb7c901ce7e1fe0cb1a925d","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-29a.93.030","next":"us-wa/rcw-29a.93.050"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
