{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-36.93.180","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 36.93.180","heading":"Objectives of boundary review board.","body":"The decisions of the boundary review board shall attempt to achieve the following objectives:\n(1) Preservation of natural neighborhoods and communities;\n(2) Use of physical boundaries, including but not limited to bodies of water, highways, and land contours;\n(3) Creation and preservation of logical service areas;\n(4) Prevention of abnormally irregular boundaries;\n(5) Discouragement of multiple incorporations of small cities and encouragement of incorporation of cities in excess of ten thousand population in heavily populated urban areas;\n(6) Dissolution of inactive special purpose districts;\n(7) Adjustment of impractical boundaries;\n(8) Incorporation as cities or towns or annexation to cities or towns of unincorporated areas which are urban in character; and\n(9) Protection of agricultural and rural lands which are designated for long term productive agricultural and resource use by a comprehensive plan adopted by the county legislative authority.","path":["Title 36","Chapter 36.93"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=36.93.180","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:33:17Z","sha256":"5e57777541669c7400bb8937a0d0e313438d9351ca505d5d483d60223d041106","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-36.93.170","next":"us-wa/rcw-36.93.185"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
