The county shall provide notice of the hearing by the county legislative authority on the ordinance executing the transfer agreement under RCW 36.94.330 as follows: (1) By mailed notice to all ratepayers served by the system at least fifteen days prior to the hearing; and (2) by notice in a newspaper of general circulation once at least fifteen days prior to the hearing.\nIn the event of an annexation under this section resulting from the transfer of a system of sewerage, a system of water, or combined water and sewer systems from a county to a water-sewer district, the water-sewer district shall operate the system or systems under the provisions of Title 57 RCW.","path":["Title 36","Chapter 36.94"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=36.94.420","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:16:24Z","sha256":"21432d62d1c9745095ff30da9d62188fbc3cb642b414f170e9f7c67d15f3371e","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-36.94.410","next":"us-wa/rcw-36.94.430"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
