{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-39.35b.050","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 39.35B.050","heading":"Life-cycle cost model and analysis—Duties of the office of financial management.","body":"The office of financial management shall:\n(1) Design and implement a cost-effective life-cycle cost model by October 1, 2008, based on the work completed by the joint legislative audit and review committee in January 2007 and in consultation with legislative fiscal committees;\n(2) Deploy the life-cycle cost model for use by state agencies once completed and tested;\n(3) Update the life-cycle cost model periodically in consultation with legislative fiscal committees;\n(4) Establish clear policies, standards, and procedures regarding the use of life-cycle cost analysis by state agencies including:\n(a) When state agencies must use the life-cycle cost analysis, including the types of proposed capital projects and leased facilities to which it must be applied;\n(b) Procedures state agencies must use to document the results of required life-cycle cost analyses;\n(c) Standards regarding the discount rate and other key model assumptions; and\n(d) A process to document and justify any deviation from the standard assumptions.","path":["Title 39","Chapter 39.35B"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=39.35B.050","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:38:47Z","sha256":"d5ae93d87226ba0fef9c7f4e0c080e216bb14700192425dd5830f8adfe6eee4b","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-39.35b.040","next":"us-wa/rcw-39.35c.010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
