{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-42.45.090","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 42.45.090","heading":"Notarial act in another state—Effect in this state.","body":"(1) A notarial act performed in another state has the same effect under the law of this state as if performed by a notarial officer of this state, if the act performed in that state is performed by:\n(a) A notary public of that state;\n(b) A judge, clerk, or deputy clerk of a court of that state; or\n(c) Any other individual authorized by the law of that state to perform the notarial act.\n(2) The signature and title of an individual performing a notarial act in another state are prima facie evidence that the signature is genuine and that the individual holds the designated title.\n(3) The signature and title of a notarial officer described in subsection (1)(a) through (c) of this section conclusively establishes the authority of the officer to perform the notarial act.","path":["Title 42","Chapter 42.45"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=42.45.090","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:45:47Z","sha256":"83dfc37d86f86e96b86dcb76c161eb8fdb421f6579f4257cbbe9251a4e9947e9","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-42.45.080","next":"us-wa/rcw-42.45.100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
