{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-42.45.100","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 42.45.100","heading":"Notarial act under authority of federally recognized Indian tribe.","body":"(1) A notarial act performed under the authority and in the jurisdiction of a federally recognized Indian tribe has the same effect as if performed by a notarial officer of this state, if the act performed in the jurisdiction of the tribe is performed by:\n(a) A notary public of the tribe;\n(b) A judge, clerk, or deputy clerk of a court of the tribe; or\n(c) Any other individual authorized by the law of the tribe to perform the notarial act.\n(2) The signature and title of an individual performing a notarial act under the authority of and in the jurisdiction of a federally recognized Indian tribe are prima facie evidence that the signature is genuine and that the individual holds the designated title.\n(3) The signature and title of a notarial officer described in subsection (1)(a) through (c) of this section conclusively establishes the authority of the officer to perform the notarial act.","path":["Title 42","Chapter 42.45"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=42.45.100","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:45:47Z","sha256":"8057f2237c3b0effcd78d4453ab40e6c992093c4e41d90b23e8e4fe480409bc5","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-42.45.090","next":"us-wa/rcw-42.45.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
