{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-43.07.032","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 43.07.032","heading":"Authenticity or certification of signatures—Attestation.","body":"(1) The secretary of state may attest to the authenticity of the signature of a public official in the state of Washington.\n(2) The secretary of state may attest to the authenticity of, or certify a signature of, a notary public except as noted in subsection (3) of this section.\n(3) The secretary of state may not certify or attest to the signature of a notary public on:\n(a) A document regarding allegiance to a government or jurisdiction;\n(b) A document relating to the relinquishment or renunciation of citizenship, sovereignty, military status, or world service authority;\n(c) A document setting forth or implying for the bearer a claim of immunity from the laws of the jurisdictions of Washington, immunity from the laws of the state of Washington, or immunity from federal law; or\n(d) An individually created document that can or should be issued as a certified copy from a city, county, or state entity.\n(4) The secretary of state may adopt rules to implement this section.","path":["Title 43","Chapter 43.07"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=43.07.032","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:10:08Z","sha256":"69529695d72034eb38f8548dfb85b0e0925ad98cfd92de9f18175964bb25b671","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-43.07.030","next":"us-wa/rcw-43.07.035"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
