{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-46.17.110","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 46.17.110","heading":"Emergency medical services fee.","body":"(1) Before accepting an application for a certificate of title for a motor vehicle as required in this title, the department, county auditor or other agent, or subagent appointed by the director shall require the applicant to pay a six dollar and fifty cent emergency medical services fee for the following transactions:\n(a) All retail sales or leases of any new or used motor vehicles; and\n(b) Original and transfer certificate of title transactions.\n(2) The emergency medical services fee:\n(a) Is not considered a violation of RCW 46.70.180(2);\n(b) Does not apply to motor vehicles declared a total loss by an insurer or self-insurer unless an application for certificate of title is made to the department, county auditor or other agent, or subagent appointed by the director after the declaration of total loss; and\n(c) Must be distributed under RCW 46.68.440.","path":["Title 46","Chapter 46.17"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=46.17.110","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T03:03:55Z","sha256":"a664ba91b01a6ec2c46d756632136b9e16b2a460e324db446aba2f7b3a64813b","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-46.17.100","next":"us-wa/rcw-46.17.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
