{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-46.18.210","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 46.18.210","heading":"Armed forces license plates.","body":"(1) A registered owner may apply to the department for special armed forces license plates for vehicles representing the following:\n(a) Air force;\n(b) Army;\n(c) Coast guard;\n(d) Marine corps;\n(e) National guard; or\n(f) Navy.\n(2) Armed forces license plates may be purchased by:\n(a) Active duty military personnel;\n(b) Families of veterans and service members;\n(c) Members of the national guard;\n(d) Reservists; or\n(e) Veterans, as defined in RCW 41.04.007.\n(3) A person who applies for special armed forces license plates shall provide:\n(a) DD-214 or discharge papers if the applicant is a veteran;\n(b) A military identification card or retired military identification card; or\n(c) A declaration of fact attesting to the applicant's eligibility as required under this section.\n(4) For the purposes of this section:\n(a) \"Child\" includes stepchild, adopted child, foster child, grandchild, or son or daughter-in-law.\n(b) \"Family\" or \"families\" includes an individual's spouse, child, parent, sibling, aunt, uncle, or cousin.\n(c) \"Parent\" includes stepparent, grandparent, or in-laws.\n(d) \"Sibling\" includes brother, half brother, stepbrother, sister, half sister, stepsister, or brother or sister-in-law.\n(5) Armed forces license plates are not free of charge to disabled veterans, former prisoners of war, or spouses or domestic partners of deceased former prisoners of war under RCW 46.18.235.","path":["Title 46","Chapter 46.18"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=46.18.210","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T03:04:01Z","sha256":"7d9c3d9cb4c418c18d1cb5c005eed54c69d19fe9d38bcf0fbbdc7fe35d80d4ae","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-46.18.205","next":"us-wa/rcw-46.18.212"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
