{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-48.14.010","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 48.14.010","heading":"Fee schedule.","body":"(1) The commissioner shall collect in advance the following fees:\n(a)\nFor filing charter documents:\n(i)\nOriginal charter documents, bylaws or record of organization of insurers, or certified copies thereof, required to be filed. . . .\n$250.00\n(ii)\nAmended charter documents, or certified copy thereof, other than amendments of bylaws. . . .\n$ 10.00\n(iii)\nNo additional charge or fee shall be required for filing any of such documents in the office of the secretary of state.\n(b)\nCertificate of authority:\n(i)\nIssuance. . . .\n$ 25.00\n(ii)\nRenewal. . . .\n$ 25.00\n(c)\nAnnual statement of insurer, filing. . . .\n$ 20.00\n(d)\nOrganization or financing of domestic insurers and affiliated corporations:\n(i)\nApplication for solicitation permit, filing. . . .\n$100.00\n(ii)\nIssuance of solicitation permit. . . .\n$ 25.00\n(e)\nInsurance producer licenses:\n(i)\nLicense application. . . .\n$ 55.00\n(ii)\nLicense renewal, every two years\n. . . .\n$ 55.00\n(iii)\nInitial appointment and renewal of appointment of each insurance producer, every two years. . . .\n$ 20.00\n(iv)\nLimited line insurance producer license application and renewal, every two years. . . .\n$ 20.00\n(f)\nTitle insurance agent licenses:\n(i)\nLicense application. . . .\n$ 50.00\n(ii)\nLicense renewal, every two\nyears. . . .\n$ 50.00\n(g)\nReinsurance intermediary licenses:\n(i)\nReinsurance intermediary-broker, each year. . . .\n$ 50.00\n(ii)\nReinsurance intermediary-\nmanager, each year. . . .\n$100.00\n(h)\nSurplus line broker license application and renewal, every two years. . . .\n$200.00\n(i)\nAdjusters' licenses:\n(i)\nIndependent adjuster: (A) License application. . . .\n(B) License renewal, every two\nyears. . . .\n$ 50.00\n$ 50.00\n(ii)\nPublic adjuster: (A) License application. . . .\n(B) License renewal, every two\nyears. . . .\n$ 50.00\n$ 50.00\n(iii)\nCrop adjuster: (A) License application. . . .\n(B) License renewal, every two\nyears. . . .\n$ 50.00\n$50.00\n(j)\nManaging general agent appointment, every two years. . . .\n$200.00\n(k)\nExamination for license, each examination:\nAll examinations, except examinations administered by an independent testing service, the fees for which are to be approved by the commissioner and collected directly by and retained by such independent testing service\n. . . .\n$ 20.00\n(l)\nMiscellaneous services:\n(i)\nFiling other documents. . . .\n$ 5.00\n(ii)\nCommissioner's certificate under seal. . . .\n$ 5.00\n(iii)\nCopy of documents filed in the commissioner's office, reasonable charge therefor as determined by the commissioner.\n(m)\nSelf-service storage specialty insurance producer license application and renewal:\nEvery two years, $130.00 for an owner with under fifty employees or $375.00 for an owner with fifty or more employees; plus a location fee of $35.00 for each additional location of an owner.\n(2) All fees so collected shall be remitted by the commissioner to the state treasurer not later than the first business day following, and shall be placed to the credit of the general fund.\n(a) Fees for examinations administered by an independent testing service that are approved by the commissioner under subsection (1)(k) of this section shall be collected directly by the independent testing service and retained by it.\n(b) Fees for copies of documents filed in the commissioner's office shall be remitted by the commissioner to the state treasurer not later than the first business day following, and shall be placed to the credit of the insurance commissioner's regulatory account.","path":["Title 48","Chapter 48.14"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=48.14.010","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T03:12:15Z","sha256":"a1803ea34c22ff453a61d4343258b8a8ed988bd1648a3f855ca3583c9a341c39","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-48.135.901","next":"us-wa/rcw-48.14.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
