The rules must:\n(1) Identify which insuring entity or self-insurer has the primary obligation to report a closed claim when more than one insuring entity or self-insurer is providing medical malpractice liability coverage to a single health care provider or a single health care facility that has been named in a claim;\n(2) Protect information that, alone or in combination with other data, could result in the ability to identify a claimant, health care provider, health care facility, or self-insurer involved in a particular claim or collection of claims; and\n(3) Specify standards and methods for the reporting by claimants, insuring entities, self-insurers, facilities, and providers.","path":["Title 48","Chapter 48.140"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=48.140.060","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T03:18:23Z","sha256":"04af5289f92d8ec7db16e3d69326c080bacfa2746c34a29b6b3f52d939d81155","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-48.140.050","next":"us-wa/rcw-48.140.080"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
