{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-64.90.375","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 64.90.375","heading":"Governing documents—Inconsistency.","body":"(1) Except as provided in subsection (2) of this section, if a common interest community created before July 1, 2018, becomes subject to this chapter on January 1, 2028, or earlier, a provision of its governing documents inconsistent with this chapter is invalid unless:\n(a) The provision is expressly permitted under *RCW 64.90.509; or\n(b) The common interest community is a plat community or miscellaneous community described in RCW 64.90.360(4), or a nonresidential or mixed-use common interest community described in RCW 64.90.100.\n(2) This chapter does not require a common interest community validly created before July 1, 2018, to:\n(a) Comply with the requirements of this chapter for creation of a common interest community; or\n(b) Prepare or amend the map.\n(3) This chapter does not invalidate an action validly taken or transaction validly entered into before a common interest community becomes subject to this chapter.","path":["Title 64","Chapter 64.90"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=64.90.375","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T03:42:31Z","sha256":"14a6fde9758d94bd073f4f83857156d946ff409776fa3f76d6da00b7aa08881e","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-64.90.370","next":"us-wa/rcw-64.90.400"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
