{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-69.50.203","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 69.50.203","heading":"Schedule I tests.","body":"(a) [(1)] The commission shall place a substance in Schedule I upon finding that the substance:\n(1) [(a)] has high potential for abuse;\n(2) [(b)] has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States; and\n(3) [(c)] lacks accepted safety for use in treatment under medical supervision.\n(b) [(2)] The commission may place a substance in Schedule I without making the findings required by subsection (a) [(1)] of this section if the substance is controlled under Schedule I of the federal Controlled Substances Act by a federal agency as the result of an international treaty, convention, or protocol.","path":["Title 69","Chapter 69.50"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=69.50.203","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:36:10Z","sha256":"2501d8b51465b0dc7d05c3b49f27fcad8c8626e673943d9a855194cd0d100e1f","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-69.50.202","next":"us-wa/rcw-69.50.204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
