{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-69.50.205","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 69.50.205","heading":"Schedule II tests.","body":"(a) [(1)] The commission shall place a substance in Schedule II upon finding that:\n(1) [(a)] the substance has high potential for abuse;\n(2) [(b)] the substance has currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, or currently accepted medical use with severe restrictions; and\n(3) [(c)] the abuse of the substance may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence.\n(b) [(2)] The commission may place a substance in Schedule II without making the findings required by subsection (a) [(1)] of this section if the substance is controlled under Schedule II of the federal Controlled Substances Act by a federal agency as the result of an international treaty, convention, or protocol.","path":["Title 69","Chapter 69.50"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=69.50.205","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:36:10Z","sha256":"09d2dfaf0e5e154f41bb493c1f5ca708de843e593f44e0f5a9b097543a6fa6d1","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-69.50.204","next":"us-wa/rcw-69.50.206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
