{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-69.50.207","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 69.50.207","heading":"Schedule III tests.","body":"(a) [(1)] The commission shall place a substance in Schedule III upon finding that:\n(1) [(a)] the substance has a potential for abuse less than the substances included in Schedules I and II;\n(2) [(b)] the substance has currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States; and\n(3) [(c)] abuse of the substance may lead to moderate or low physical dependence or high psychological dependence.\n(b) [(2)] The commission may place a substance in Schedule III without making the findings required by subsection (a) [(1)] of this section if the substance is controlled under Schedule III of the federal Controlled Substances Act by a federal agency as the result of an international treaty, convention, or protocol.","path":["Title 69","Chapter 69.50"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=69.50.207","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:36:10Z","sha256":"181c4583038690ea852ad537c83ea3184377af67b404fdf10a5afee675f1a104","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-69.50.206","next":"us-wa/rcw-69.50.208"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
