{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-7.77.180","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 7.77.180","heading":"Authority of tribunal in case of noncompliance.","body":"(1) If an agreement fails to meet the requirements of RCW 7.77.030, or a lawyer fails to comply with RCW 7.77.120 or 7.77.130, a tribunal may nonetheless find that the parties intended to enter into a collaborative law participation agreement if they:\n(a) Signed a record indicating an intention to enter into a collaborative law participation agreement; and\n(b) Reasonably believed they were participating in a collaborative law process.\n(2) If a tribunal makes the findings specified in subsection (1) of this section, and the interests of justice require, the tribunal may:\n(a) Enforce an agreement evidenced by a record resulting from the process in which the parties participated;\n(b) Apply the disqualification provisions of RCW 7.77.040, 7.77.050, 7.77.080, and 7.77.090; and\n(c) Apply a privilege under RCW 7.77.150.","path":["Title 7","Chapter 7.77"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=7.77.180","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T00:39:15Z","sha256":"94460fa9791cee5a6406ee0b595e80658a3cf83a53097123c5ff3c006ead45c0","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-7.77.170","next":"us-wa/rcw-7.77.900"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
