{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-70a.320.020","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 70A.320.020","heading":"Definitions.","body":"The definitions in this section apply throughout this chapter unless the context clearly requires otherwise.\n(1) \"Area-wide soil contamination\" means low to moderate arsenic and lead soil contamination dispersed over a large geographic area.\n(2) \"Child care facility\" means a child day-care center or a family day-care provider as those terms are defined under *RCW 74.15.020.\n(3) \"Department\" means the department of ecology.\n(4) \"Director\" means the director of the department of ecology.\n(5) \"Low to moderate soil contamination\" means low level arsenic or lead concentrations where a child's exposure to soil contamination at a school or a child care facility may be reduced through best management practices.\n(6) \"School\" means a public or private kindergarten, elementary, or secondary school.","path":["Title 70A","Chapter 70A.320"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=70A.320.020","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T04:00:55Z","sha256":"8b74e448923f9bea5e90098297534647d556918e0d695f0d99453efde6b126c1","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-70a.320.010","next":"us-wa/rcw-70a.320.030"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
