(Expires July 1, 2030.)","body":"(1) A recipient of a loan or grant may not use these funds to conduct remedial actions of a release or threatened release from a petroleum underground storage tank system requiring financial assurances under chapter 70A.355 RCW or subtitle I of the solid waste disposal act (42 U.S.C., chapter 82, subchapter IX) unless the owner or operator:\n(a) Agrees to first expend all moneys available under the required financial assurances;\n(b) Demonstrates that all moneys available under the required financial assurances have been expended; or\n(c) Demonstrates that a claim has been made under the required financial assurances and the claim has been rejected by the provider.\n(2) A recipient must use a loan or grant for a project that develops and acquires assets that have a useful life of at least thirteen years.","path":["Title 70A","Chapter 70A.345"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=70A.345.040","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T04:01:23Z","sha256":"93d8f2670a9dbb23c397af5b910cadad2fbd4cf1dc1a6d14c3da59ecd55864ed","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-70a.345.030","next":"us-wa/rcw-70a.345.050"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
