At a minimum, the training shall address the following issues:\n(a) Security routines;\n(b) Physical plant layout;\n(c) Offender movement and program area coverage; and\n(d) Situational awareness and de-escalation techniques.\n(2) The department shall seek the input of both the statewide security and local [statewide and local security] advisory committees in developing the curriculum.\n(3) The department shall deliver such training to applicable correctional staff at in-service training by July 1, 2012.","path":["Title 72","Chapter 72.09"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=72.09.684","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T04:07:10Z","sha256":"b31f0b57b4145f1048815ab25fe5e5234d74cf63549ab598592eccc5d17f3913","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-72.09.682","next":"us-wa/rcw-72.09.686"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
