{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-82.04.214","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 82.04.214","heading":"\"Newspaper.\"","body":"(1) \"Newspaper\" means:\n(a) A publication issued regularly at stated intervals at least twice a month and printed on newsprint in tabloid or broadsheet format folded loosely together without stapling, glue, or any other binding of any kind, including any supplement of a printed newspaper; and\n(b) An electronic version of a printed newspaper that:\n(i) Shares content with the printed newspaper; and\n(ii) Is prominently identified by the same name as the printed newspaper or otherwise conspicuously indicates that it is a complement to the printed newspaper.\n(2) For purposes of this section, \"supplement\" means a printed publication, including a magazine or advertising section, that is:\n(a) Labeled and identified as part of the printed newspaper; and\n(b) Circulated or distributed:\n(i) As an insert or attachment to the printed newspaper; or\n(ii) Separate and apart from the printed newspaper so long as the distribution is within the general circulation area of the newspaper.","path":["Title 82","Chapter 82.04"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=82.04.214","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T01:35:58Z","sha256":"52e7dc998f0127856b234efe6d04c44acd605154a1ca2a9ec1d87194437f89cf","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-82.04.213","next":"us-wa/rcw-82.04.215"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
