{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-9.94a.702","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 9.94A.702","heading":"Community custody—Offenders sentenced for one year or less.","body":"(1) If an offender is sentenced to a term of confinement for one year or less for one of the following offenses, the court may impose up to one year of community custody:\n(a) A sex offense;\n(b) A violent offense;\n(c) A crime against a person under RCW 9.94A.411;\n(d) A felony violation of chapter 69.50 or 69.52 RCW, or an attempt, conspiracy, or solicitation to commit such a crime; or\n(e) A felony violation of RCW 9A.44.132(1) (failure to register).\n(2) If an offender is sentenced to a first-time offender waiver, the court may impose community custody as provided in RCW 9.94A.650.","path":["Title 9","Chapter 9.94A"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9.94A.702","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T00:48:27Z","sha256":"c38b147af89d858bf50a345b93d9ce6364bee413465eceaf109a04f4e625c1f2","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-9.94a.701","next":"us-wa/rcw-9.94a.703"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
