{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-90.56.050","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 90.56.050","heading":"Rules.","body":"The department may adopt rules including but not limited to the following matters:\n(1) Procedures and methods of reporting discharges and other occurrences prohibited by this chapter;\n(2) Procedures, methods, means, and equipment to be used by persons subject to regulation by this chapter and such rules may prescribe the times, places, and methods of transfer of oil;\n(3) Coordination of procedures, methods, means, and equipment to be used in the removal of oil;\n(4) Development and implementation of criteria and plans to meet oil spills of various kinds and degrees;\n(5) When and under what circumstances, if any, chemical agents, such as coagulants, dispersants, and bioremediation, may be used in response to an oil spill;\n(6) The disposal of oil recovered from a spill; and\n(7) Such other rules and regulations as the exigencies of any condition may require or such as may be reasonably necessary to carry out the intent of this chapter.","path":["Title 90","Chapter 90.56"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=90.56.050","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T04:40:06Z","sha256":"99f6218c2514c45e5dc4fbc5cf23c43c63255448f1e14771928dccfb29dbe272","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-90.56.040","next":"us-wa/rcw-90.56.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
