{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-9a.28.010","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 9A.28.010","heading":"Prosecutions based on felonies defined outside Title 9A RCW.","body":"In any prosecution under this title for attempt, solicitation, or conspiracy to commit a felony defined by a statute of this state which is not in this title, unless otherwise provided:\n(1) If the maximum sentence of imprisonment authorized by law upon conviction of such felony is twenty years or more, such felony shall be treated as a class A felony for purposes of this title;\n(2) If the maximum sentence of imprisonment authorized by law upon conviction of such felony is eight years or more but less than twenty years, such felony shall be treated as a class B felony for purposes of this title;\n(3) If the maximum sentence of imprisonment authorized by law upon conviction of such felony is less than eight years, such felony shall be treated as a class C felony for purposes of this title.","path":["Title 9A","Chapter 9A.28"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9A.28.010","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T00:50:00Z","sha256":"d0d196e582f280380ec364e4512af2e1fccd64d9e1e594f203829ff2386459b0","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-9a.20.040","next":"us-wa/rcw-9a.28.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
