{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-9a.40.090","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 9A.40.090","heading":"Luring.","body":"(1) A person commits the crime of luring if the person, with the intent to harm the health, safety, or welfare of the minor or person with a developmental disability or with the intent to facilitate the commission of any crime:\n(a) Orders, lures, or attempts to lure a minor or a person with a developmental disability into any area or structure that is obscured from or inaccessible to the public, or away from any area or structure constituting a bus terminal, airport terminal, or other transportation terminal, or into a motor vehicle;\n(b) Does not have the consent of the minor's parent or guardian or of the guardian of the person with a developmental disability; and\n(c) Is unknown to the child or developmentally disabled person.\n(2) For purposes of this section:\n(a) \"Minor\" means a person under the age of sixteen;\n(b) \"Person with a developmental disability\" means a person with a developmental disability as defined in RCW 71A.10.020.\n(3) Luring is a class C felony.","path":["Title 9A","Chapter 9A.40"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9A.40.090","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T00:50:16Z","sha256":"4e57f66c2fedcefa49131ce2f715cf5a6627a42063d044b4dfb883486cb3d995","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-9a.40.080","next":"us-wa/rcw-9a.40.100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
