{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-9a.44.145","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 9A.44.145","heading":"Notification to offenders of changed requirements and ability to petition for relief from registration.","body":"(1) The state patrol shall notify:\n(a) Registered sex and kidnapping offenders of any change to the registration requirements, including the extinguishment of a legal obligation to register under RCW 9A.44.144;\n(b) No less than annually, an offender having a duty to register under RCW 9A.44.143 for a sex offense or kidnapping offense committed when the offender was a juvenile of their ability to petition for relief from registration as provided in RCW 9A.44.140; and\n(c) A school's or institution's designated recipient of records under RCW 9A.44.138 regarding the extinguishment of a student's legal obligation to register under RCW 9A.44.144.\n(2) For economic efficiency, the state patrol may combine the notices in this section into one notice.","path":["Title 9A","Chapter 9A.44"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9A.44.145","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T00:50:27Z","sha256":"8548c1e30c71462c1bdcacd062abc1dbe60be9e11b3170ea9b3cdb1e3ac04086","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-9a.44.144","next":"us-wa/rcw-9a.44.148"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
