{"data":{"id":"us-wa/rcw-9a.46.085","jurisdiction":"us-wa","citation":"RCW 9A.46.085","heading":"Stalking no-contact orders—Appearance before magistrate required.","body":"(1) A defendant arrested for stalking as defined by RCW 9A.46.110 shall be required to appear in person before a magistrate within one judicial day after the arrest.\n(2) At the time of appearance provided in subsection (1) of this section the court shall determine the necessity of imposing a stalking no-contact order under this chapter.\n(3) Appearances required pursuant to this section are mandatory and cannot be waived.\n(4) The stalking no-contact order shall be issued and entered with the appropriate law enforcement agency pursuant to the procedures outlined in this chapter.","path":["Title 9A","Chapter 9A.46"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9A.46.085","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T00:50:32Z","sha256":"1189bc5531d4897087ea76706053dddc86c30fc615897f848647fba4a1ac6f6c","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-9a.46.080","next":"us-wa/rcw-9a.46.090"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
