A person convicted of violating RCW 9A.50.020 shall be punished as follows:\n(a) For a first offense, a fine of not less than two hundred fifty dollars and a jail term of not less than twenty-four consecutive hours;\n(b) For a second offense, a fine of not less than five hundred dollars and a jail term of not less than seven consecutive days; and\n(c) For a third or subsequent offense, a fine of not less than one thousand dollars and a jail term of not less than thirty consecutive days.\n(2) The fines imposed by this section apply to adult offenders only.","path":["Title 9A","Chapter 9A.50"],"source_url":"https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9A.50.030","current_through":"July 15, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T00:40:20Z","sha256":"bfeaeb4508304f8455dc18e546b3fdfb9f6b0eeea8dbbb73dcf964a0123c26c2","source_id":"us-wa","stale":false,"prev":"us-wa/rcw-9a.50.020","next":"us-wa/rcw-9a.50.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
