Stat. § 251.07","heading":"Certain health care providers; state agency status.","body":"(1) In this section:\n(a) “Advanced practice registered nurse ” means an advanced practice nurse who may issue prescription orders under s. 441.09 (2).\n(b) “Physician assistant” means a person licensed under s. 448.974.\n(2) A physician, physician assistant, or advanced practice registered nurse who is not an employee of the local health department and who provides services, without compensation, for those programs and services provided by a local health department that require medical oversight is, for the provision of the services he or she provides, a state agent of the department of health services for the purposes of ss. 165.25 (6), 893.82 (3), and 895.46.","path":["Chs. 250-257, Health","Chapter 251 Local Health Officials"],"source_url":"https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/document/statutes/251.07","current_through":"2023-24 Wisconsin Statutes updated through 2025 Wis.
