Stat. § 345.17","heading":"Penalty for false statements.","body":"(1) Unless another civil or criminal penalty is expressly prescribed by law, no person may make a false statement to the department or secretary on which the department or the secretary relies in:\n(a) Issuing a duplicate title.\n(b) Issuing a duplicate license or operating privilege.\n(c) Performing an act or administering a law that the department or secretary is required by law to administer or perform.\n(2) Any person who violates sub.
