Stat. § 69.10","heading":"Correction of obvious errors.","body":"(1) Until 365 days after the occurrence of an event which is the subject of a vital record, the state registrar or a local registrar may correct an error in the record if he or she determines that the error is obviously inadvertent.\n(2) A person with a direct and tangible interest in a vital record may petition a court to order a correction in the record under this section if the state or local registrar with whom the record is filed fails to make the correction.","path":["Ch. 69, Statistics","Chapter 69 Collection Of Statistics","SUBCHAPTER I VITAL STATISTICS"],"source_url":"https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/document/statutes/69.10","current_through":"2023-24 Wisconsin Statutes updated through 2025 Wis.
