Stat. § 943.014","heading":"Demolition of historic building without authorization.","body":"(1) In this section, “historic building” means any building or structure that is listed on, or any building or structure within and contributing to a historic district that is listed on, the national register of historic places in Wisconsin or the state register of historic places or any building or structure that is included on a list of historic places designated by a city, village, town or county.\n(2) Whoever intentionally demolishes a historic building without a permit issued by a city, village, town or county or without an order issued under s. 66.0413 is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.\n(3) Subsection (2) does not apply to any person if he or she acts as part of a state agency action and the state agency has complied with ss. 44.39 to 44.42 regarding the action.","path":["Chs. 939-951, Criminal Code","Chapter 943 Crimes Against Property","SUBCHAPTER I DAMAGE"],"source_url":"https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/document/statutes/943.014","current_through":"2023-24 Wisconsin Statutes updated through 2025 Wis.
