Stat. § 1-22-106","heading":"When petition to be filed; order for hearing.","body":"A petition to adopt a child shall be filed upon the entry of the child in the adoptive home or as soon thereafter as is reasonably convenient. When a petition is filed and presented to the judge, he shall set the petition for hearing.
